The Tennessee Center for Policy Research found evidence of malfeasance, filed a complaint and on Nov. 14 the Tennessee Registry of Election Finance fined State Sen. Jerry Cooper $120,000. Seems the state senator funneled a good chunk of change from his campaign account into his personal account. TCPR uncovered the evidence in an unrelated bank fraud trial.
