Oct. 29 NC Luncheon: Myths of The Great Depression

The John Locke Foundation (NC) people know how to party -- they’re holding a luncheon on the 78th anniversary of  “Black Tuesday.” Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 in Raleigh, JLF hosts syndicated Bloomberg columnist Amity Shlaes. Taking a page or two from her just-published book, The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression, Shlaes will verbally challenge the conventional wisdom of the times and Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal.
