About those Administrative Savings Under Single Payer

Would going to a single-payer system on health care save money? That's the "administrative savings" argument. But writing in Investors Business Daily, Benjamin Zycher says that's a false promise.

Start with the fact that Medicare--the program often cited as an example of government efficiency--systematically understates its costs. Further, he says, "private administrative costs are not 'waste,' and cannot be eliminated without adverse effects."
