SCHIP's Financial Impact on New Mexico

New Mexico already receives $2 in federal money for every $1 that it sends to Washington. According to this article, SCHIP expansion is just another means of grabbing more. It is no wonder that most New Mexico politicians support more welfare for our state, but why would someone from New Jersey, which receives only $.55 for every $1 it sends to Washington want to give us welfare-loving New Mexicans even more?
