American Film Renaissance (AFR) is “dedicated to promoting films that reflect the foundational values of America such as freedom, rugged individualism, and triumph of the human spirit. “ Its Washington, DC Festival runs Sept. 26 - 29, 2007 and takes place at the Kennedy Center and other area locations. Among those involved with the Festival are: Reason; Institute for Humane Studies; Acton Institute; Bureaucrash, a project of the Competitive Enterprise Institute; and the Moving Picture Institute. "Indoctrinate U," which MPI executive director Rob Pfaltzgraff calls "a scorching exposé of ideological bias on America’s college campuses,” is the marquee event and is joined by "Wierdsville," "O Jerusalem," "Americanizing Shelley" and more. Be sure to attend the post-film Q&As and receptions!
