Great post. Krugman has destroyed his credibility. What happened to the economist who pointed out that Bill Clinton's "gurus" Ira Magaziner and Robert Reich advocated an industrial policy of subsidies for "high value" sectors (like cigarettes and steel). Or the economist who noted that recogonized experts in the health care field were almost completely absent in the development of the Clinton Health Plan. Or that NAFTA would have no impact on US employment. Been with the New York Times too long, I guess.
