I'm not up on the particulars of the teachers union plan. It could be much better--low or even no premiums, higher benefits--than would be available in the general market or through Healthy Wisconsin. Regardless, there's a value in having your own plan and not being shoehorned into someone else's idea. The union seems to recognize that.
