On Tues., July 31, numerous organizations throughout the U.S. will honor Dr. Milton Friedman’s birth date, celebrating his accomplishments and the legacy of liberty he left for the world. Some 50 events in 46 states are scheduled (a few will take place Wed., August 1). To find the one nearest you, visit www.friedmanlegacy.org.
The celebrations were coordinated by the Milton and Rose D. Friedman Foundation, which notes, “While the type of event -- policy briefings, lunch meetings, receptions and even formal dinners-- varies from state to state, one theme is consistent. All of these events honor Dr. Friedman and his free market principles.”
From the Ethan Allen Institute in Vermont to the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii, from Washington’s Evergreen Freedom Foundation to the Texas Public Policy Foundation, join your philosophical friends in celebrating one man’s rich intellectual life and his significant contributions to liberty.
