California to Commuters: No Cars for You

It's been said that if the opposite of "pro" is "con," then the opposite of "progress" must be "Congress." The California Senate is doing a fine job of emulating that dictum.

The Reason Foundation looks at a piece of land-use legislation in California, and says that it's setting up residents for misery.

According to Sam Staley, under SB 375, "communities are expected to make driving so difficult and expensive that people will either walk or use transit."

The culprit? The religion of stopping climate change.
