Summertime Unemployment

Summer is often the time when teenagers seek that first job. But it's more difficult to find one these days.

A weakening of economic growth is one reason. But the Nevada Policy Research Institute suggests that a voter-mandated increase in the minimum wage is also to blame

To make matters worse, the state's minimum wage law is indexed to inflation--meaning that it automatically goes up.
