Kennedy and Canada

I am a Canadian! A good friend of mine in Toronto, who earns a lot as a senior investment banker, invests a good share of his paycheck in a membership in the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, as well as sending his children to the private Toronto French School. Sure, he likes to sail and he wants his kids to get a multilingual education. But these expenses are also informal health insurance policies. Both institutions are favored by Toronto's medical elite. If he has a problem he just calls an MD sailing buddy, or the MD parent of a classmate of his kids'. It's definitely the best way to jump the deadly Ontario health care queue. Of course, you've got to be a senior investment banker to make it happen.
