The Medi-Share site is correct--in 2007 the Missouri legislature passed a bill exempting health care sharing ministries from the insurance code *and* giving an above the line deduction for our shares. We're working for similar status in all 50 states (and the 41 with income tax), and at the federal level to be viewed as a tax deductible health care expense.
