Tax Credits for Virginia Education

Want to improve education? The Thomas Jefferson Institute for Public Policysays adopt a tax credit program (PDF). The institute, which focuses on the commonwealth of Virginia, says that tax credits are better than vouchers. It reviews existing tax credit and voucher programs in other states, gives an idea of what a tax credit would look like in Virginia, and says that the financial impact on local school systems will be "generally positive."
