Sometimes, I wonder if other countries have some more free-market incentives than the U.S. does, in certain particulars. For example, Swiss or Dutch seniors are not limited, like American seniors are, to a centrally controlled Medicare. The U.K. government gives budgets to NHS Trusts, that have some autonomy, rather than centrally fixed prices. Really, the major free-market part of U.S. health care is voluntary participation, which is a big plus!
