“Convenient Fiction” to Premier in SF, DC and NY

Filed As:  Events

The new film, "An Inconvenient Truth ... Or Convenient Fiction?" will premiere this month (April 2007) in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and New York City.  Below are the dates and informational links:

According to last Friday’s email from Joshua S. Trevino, vice president for public policy at Pacific Research Institute (PRI), the Institute’s new film “is an entertaining, fact-based look at the climate change issue featuring Dr. Steven Hayward, PRI Director of Environmental Studies and F.K. Weyerhauser Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. Dr. Hayward is the primary author of PRI's renowned annual Index of Leading Environmental Indicators….” (The 2006 Index is available online, and the 2007 edition “will be released shortly,” Trevino promises.)

Perhaps it would be appropriate for this film to also premier in Nashville, where Mr. Gore owns a mansion. After all, according to Nashville Electric Service data, as reported by the Tennessee Center for Policy Research, Mr. Gore’s residence “consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year….” As the Church Lady used to say on Saturday Night Live, “How convenient.”
