Yeah, great. Give low-income workers insurance, but with really high deductibles - that way we can say they've got insurance, even if they can't afford to use it.
Then cut taxes on insurance companies so they can give even more money to their shareholders and high-priced CEOs.
Those two steps ought to really help make health care more affordable and accessible for the average Joe. (Not!)
2. The high-deductible of some plans make them affordable.
3. If the plans are matched with an HSA, the money in those accounts can take away the sting of having a higher deductible.
4. Tax cuts? Sure. Anytime we can get them, I say go for it. Better to use the money in the non-political world.
