So much of our discussion on health revolves around insurance. But Ari Armstrong and his wife have a different vision for insurance: "Our goal is to never need to make an insurance claim."
Why?
One reason is that it's a financially smart move to plan ahead: "By paying less for high-deductible insurance, we've been able to pay off debts faster and prepare for a family, something that has been difficult given our high tax burdens."
Along the way, Armstrong also discusses Colorado's "Blue Ribbon Commission for Healthcare Reform," which "basically went nowhere."
But don't worry, if you like blue ribbon committees, another one is on the way--and it doesn't look any more useful.
