Taxed to Die? Maybe Not in Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs has some good news: a committee in the state House has voted to speed up the repeal of the state's death tax.

The measure has a long ways to go towards passage, and it would bring an end to the tax earlier by only 12 months. But it's a testimony to the fact that elected officials realize the limited utility of the tax.
