Here’s a sampling of numerous opportunities for college students interested in liberty. Pass them along! The Mont Pelerin Society seeks submissions for its 2008 Hayek Essay Contest. Entries due April 30. The Institute for Economic Studies, in partnership with the Cato Institute’s Center for Promotion of Human Rights, is holding three Europe & Liberty seminars this summer; locations: Bakuriani, Georgia; Ifrane, Morocco; and Gummersbach, Germany. Applications due April 10.

The Property and Environment Research Center (PERC) and Liberty Fund are co-sponsoring a Student Seminar on Free Market Environmentalism, June 23-28 in Bozeman, Montana. Applications due March 26. The Institute for Justice’s 2008 Law Students Conference is July 25-27. Submit your application by March 20. And, finally, The Independent Institute seeks essays from students, and non-tenured faculty, for its Sir John M. Templeton Fellowships Essay Contest. Entry deadline is May 1.
