More than $20,000 will be awarded to college students and untenured junior faculty members for the best essays submitted to the 2008 Sir John M. Templeton Fellowships Essay Contest. Are property rights human rights? How are they related? What are their similarities and differences? If property rights are human rights, why have they enjoyed fewer legal protections and intellectual champions than have other human rights? These and related questions are to be explored in 2008 essays. The annual contest is co-sponsored by the John Templeton Foundation and Independent Institute. Entry deadline: May 1, 2008.
