Good Intentions, Higher Prices

This is a sad statistic, again showing how government policies overlook the importance of trade-offs. In this case, low- & middle- income families pay the price: high mortgages, continued lack of ownership as renters, poor schools, etc. The list is never-ending. In Portland, the battle is being played out in public schools, with efforts to "entice" families to stay in the public school districts, even though low-performing. Most families leave Portland, since home prices are also skyrocketing.
Here, however, they blame it on Californians.
