Hope for Michigan? "Let's Get Started Now"

Filed As:  Budget and Tax

Michigan has been a poster child for "what not to do." Is there hope on the horizon? Perhaps, says the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.

Gov. Jennifer Granholm has said "I’m not ever going to raise taxes again," and, "It has to be cuts and reforms."

Michael D. LaFaive, the center's director of fiscal policy, says "Let’s get started now." David Littman, a senior economist with center, talks about the governor's statements in an interview with Detroit radio station WJR.
